Housing

Hey everyone,

I was accepted to transfer to NYU for the upcomming spring semester. I was wondering if anyone knew any "off-campus" appartments in the area that might be worthwhile to rent out rather than going with an appartment from NYU.

I'm not from that area, and not really sure where to start looking to find an appartment.

Thanks

What school did you get accepted into?

NYU's housing website says that they maintain a database listing private (as in non-NYU) apartments available for students who aren't interested in living in NYU student housing. Here's the link if you're interested:

Congratulations on getting in! I'm applying as a spring transfer as well... would you mind posting your scores so I can see what my chances are? Thanks!

I was accepted into CAS as an Econ / Math major.

My highschool gpa was 3.4
took AP calc, AP Econ, honors Chemistry, honors Global History, honors Biology and Honors Physics. I got a 3 on all my exam's except Macroeconomics where I had a 4, so that is the only class I placed out of.

SAT was 700v / 640m. In highschool I was part of an economics team (Fed Challenge), other than that no really great extracurricular activities.

I am currently attending Bentley College. I'm in the honors program there.
First semester I had a 3.94gpa
Second semester 3.84
took 2 classes at Fairfield U over the summer which I recieved an A in accounting, A- in philosophy.
Current semester looks to be around 3.7-3.8 gpa, but can never be too certain until finals.

I don't speak any languages other than English but I am learning mandarin chinese and am currently in elementary chinese 1. In college did a few extracurricular things, the only thing of real notice is the Service learning program where I did some teaching at the elementary schools in the area for 2 hours a week during the semester.

Thanks for the housing link, i'll look into that further.

That's awesome, thanks. And congratulations again, I'm really happy for you. :)

if you are female...
