Housing ?

My D has been accepted to the Graphic Design program at UP and has decided to attend. Her next step is to decide on housing. She received a letter from the Assoc Dean of the Arts & Arch college suggesting their SLO at North. Is a letter sent to every student from the college they were accepted into suggesting where they should choose to live? I haven't seen anyone mention this.

Wow - congrats for that first step. The simple answer to your question is no – not every college has SLO’s that are appropriate for freshmen . I imagine the colleges that do have SLOs are suggesting those to their incoming students, as they have for yours. She doesn’t have to chose the SLO, but she’ll be given preference for that one. (North is very nice, it’s where S2 lives right now. Cost more, though)

Her first choice is the SLO in North. She isn’t a big partier and is very serious with her studies. I think she would get very frustrated living in East. Any suggestions as to what her backup choice should be? I was thinking maybe the Honors college in South but I really don’t know much about that.
