housing

I'm attending UT next year and am planning on rushing. My question is do all girls who rush live in SRD or hardin? My mom made me do on campus housing, so I put Duren and San Jacinto first. Will I be the only one in the dorm since we have to move in a week earlier? will this put me at a disadvantage? Also, is it too late to switch to off campus housing? I know SRD and Hardin are already full, but what about Callaway?

this year, a large majority of the people who pledged a frat/sorority live at Towers. there are 2 new properties that will be opening close to towers next fall, and these have already attracted a lot of people that plan on rushing. from what I understand, though, is that a lot of the people rushing will be living off campus.

personally, i’m living at Towers. i would try to convince your parents to let you live off campus if you’re serious about rushing. I have a friend this year who lives in San Jac and is in a frat, he spends a lot of his nights crashing at friends’ places who live closer to the frat, but that’s just him

and it’s not TOO late to switch to off campus housing - a lot of places are full, but I know Towers still has space for a little while longer. hurry up!

Students who are rushing live all over the place - both on and off campus. You won’t be the only person living on campus who is rushing - not by a long shot!
