Housing

Ok so after I only got 3 years of housing I was really curious why and someone on here told me it was because I was in the bottom 50% of applicants.

At the Admitted Eagle day, however, I did the dorm tour and they told me the real way they decide 3/4 years. I decided I’d post it in case anyone else was curious.

So they said that it is true half the applicants get 4 years and half get three years, however it comes down to:

4 years-
Varsity Athletes
Students with disabilities
Honors Students
Top 15(Not 50)% of admits.
A few other groups were given 4 years but I can’t remember them off the top of my head.

Those who get four years housing:

Varsity Athletes (Only to students who have a sport scholarship.)

Students with disabilities (True.)

Honors Students (True, and Honors makes up about the top 5% of any class.)

Top 15(Not 50)% of admits. (True.)

A few other groups were given 4 years but I can't remember them off the top of my head. (Let me clarify this one. One of groups of students you mention here are low-income students (typically not in-state). If your family is poor and you're from place far away, you have a very high chance of getting four year housing. Also, they are mostly minority students.)

Nursing students also get four years of housing.

oh yeah...i remember now she definetly did say nursing students too...
