How are Harpur's Academic Advisors?

What is your opinion on the academic advisors at Harpur (or Binghamton in general)? Do you feel they do a good job, or do you end up having to do all the work yourself? What do they do well/poorly, and any tips for incoming freshmen?

I wouldn’t mind some input on this subject as well. My daughter is a good student but sometimes getting her to pursue is another story. My main concern is that among a large volume, she might not be a squeaky wheel, and thus not get any of the grease.
