Anybody know how the dorms are at OU?

Well, the "demo" dorm they showed us on the campus tour--which my tour guide said was typical of the real dorms and actually slightly smaller--seemed pretty nice. Not that I have much to compare it to, but it seemed quite liveable to me. The closet was not much smaller than my closet at home, the floor was carpeted, it came with air conditioning, and even a desk, computer, and printer. The computer looked kind of old, but the guide said that they are replaced every other year, so I'm guessing they simply don't bother update the computers in the demo dorms because nobody lives there. I certainly felt like I could live there.

the dorms are pretty nice although a little small, they have updated computers w/ dvd-rom and cd-rw but there internet is slow at times... The laundry rooms are a problem though. They dont have enough washers and dryers so you have to wait a lot. Also all the dorms dont have dining halls only one dining hall per green so making it to breakfast is something you have to force yourself to do sometimes... and to lucky ... the carpet is extra

They've been renovating dorms each year at OU. My daughter lived in Biddle Hall her freshman year four years ago, and it was renovated last year. From visits to other college dorms, I'd say OUs are definitely above average.

I agree - OU's dorms are far above the competition. I know that one residence hall (Bromley) actually has a swimming pool. And there are more than one dining hall per green as there are 5 dining halls and 3 Greens.

Bromley does have a pool. My daughter lived there during her sophomore year. But the pool. . . . don't go to Bromley cuz you luv to swim. It was open extremely limited hours. She loved Biddle Hall on East Green, but didn't really like Bromley. Food service was somewhat limited at Bromley.

yea bromley is only open to upperclassmen, and the pool is never open. Even when it is open its reserved a lot of the time but if u can get in u will love it, the water is so warm.. its basically perfect.
