How are you spending the summer?

how are you all spending the summer?

gophering in nyc at a law firm (not as cool as it sounds).

research fellowship at Cornell during the day.

training on the bike come evenings.

reading/guitar at night.

Playing the sax on the street 4 nights a week, singing at some wedding ceremonies at my church.... a CEO of an aviation company just asked me to do a private party on sax, that might be cool.

Trying to get a job as Tennis Attendant at a luxury resort by my house...I have a friend that works there and played tennis with the violinist from DMB about a week ago.

If that doesn't work, I'll probably be working part time between both working register at a drug store, and serving coffee and breakfast a local cafe that just opened.

As far as fun stuff goes. Burlington next week...and would like to climb some high peaks in the Adirondacks before the summer's over (Only climbed 1/46 so far).

technician and research associate in and ophthamologists office.

playing lots of rugby, tournaments on pier 40 in nyc, cape cod, and LI.

taking a writing class during summer session one.

getting pumpeedddd

short answer: working.

long answer: intern in the city community & economic development office. Pay is good, and I am learning tons (written a grant administration manual to hand out half a million bucks, and rewritten a grant application to save the city from having to repay $400k). I enjoy it for the most part, but ironically it's the only job I could get (after applying to 10 fast-food/corner store joints)

sitting up at 1 am on college confidential

haha no im going to ecuador for spanish/community service for 5 weeks, shipping my sister off to ecuador and taking a nice vacation far away from here

Interning at my city's convention center. I get to help plan events, work with clients, and sit-in on meetings about sales and operations. Pretty interesting, but no pay :(

...im not shipping my sister off to ecuador, im shipping her off to college.

close enough.
