I don’t think I can “top” people here, but it’s interesting to see the diversity in my school. A lot of **** goes on, but we still have academic people and for the most part, the school cares about getting people into good colleges. But:

In the past three years, only one person has gotten NMSF.

Only one person has matriculated at an Ivy since 2009, which I guess isn’t that bad. But most people who apply to Ivies have no idea what it really takes. They’re overconfident about their applications and get extremely disappointed when they’re rejected.

A sad majority of people have no idea what ED is.

We have a few lockdowns each year for bomb threats.

There are girl fights all the time. Now, they’re considered entertainment rather than drama, and the people who break up the fights get bragging rights.

Every year that I’ve attended, we have had at least one overdose or suicide.

A few years ago, a bunch of football players were caught for using steroids.

“Summer programs? Why would you want to go to school in the summer?”

Pretty much everyone except smart people and those in the drug-free community group drinks or uses.

Multiple people have drug-tested positive and have had to leave school for rehab. Some more than once.

The back hallway is known for its promiscuous activity. The couch used for drama productions is called the “sex couch”. Disgusting things have happened at proms and homecomings.

Looking for pregnant girls? Over here!

Some people are in gangs, or claim to be in gangs, and threaten to have gang fights during school with guns. The police are usually able to get the in way.
