How can I motivate kids to bring cans for a canned food drive?

My school's FBLA club, for which I am president, is having a canned food drive, but I'm afraid we're not going to have many kids bring cans. I need ideas which will motivate kids to bring cans.

FYI: I go to a private school. Around 300-350 kids in the HS.

Any other ideas for helping the community out are really appreciated.

Give them community Service hours, that’s what we did in middle school.

Well since you are Nick Saban, just ask all your bajillion 5-star recruits and bajillion fans to bring some. I don’t see how that would be so difficult.

Some kind of prize for the class that brings the most cans?

(Off-topic, but at my school we did this thing where kids brought in rolls of money, and the teacher had to take all the money out of the rolls and count it before the teaching could start. The more money you brought, the less school you had to go through.)

Make it a contest. What ever person brings the most cans gets to throw a water ballon or two at a teacher of their choosing at the next all school assembly.

That could be a deterrent to shy people, but I agree that prizes of some kind usually work.

Gift cards for whoever brings the most. That always does the trick.
Or you can offer candy to whoever brings a can. Or you could even do both.

WHen I had to get people to donate to a food drive, put up memes I made of the teacher in charge of it making extremely ghetto over the top threats of what he’ll do if you don’t donate lol
