I am going to take six AP tests, yet cannot afford over five hundreds dollars. I live in South Korea and I do not have a counselor who knows about American school and tests. I do have a homeroom teacher who can help me, yet he does not know anything either. Please explain to me what my homeroom teacher (or counselor) should do for me. Thank you in advance for your help!

Generally how it works is if you take the course the school will pay for the exam for you. However, if you do not take the course and want to take the exam you have to pay for it. I dont think you can have a waiver.

well, I don't think a school in Korea will pay for it. Usually when 'schools' pay for it it's usually through some state sponsored program.

What you can probably do is pay for the AP tests with a reduced fee if you can show financial need. But there exists no fee "waiver". See Apcentral's site, it'd probably give u more accurate information.

Schools paying for AP tests is not the norm, I believe.

i live in korea, and our school provides AP courses,
but we have to pay for the fees..
man,, i didn't even know that the schools pay for the fee in the states.

I've never heard of schools paying for the AP tests...that's extremely expensive. I live in the US, and we all have to pay for our tests.
