My student is a National Merit Semifinalist with a 4.0 UW GPA, 34 ACT, and 2250 SAT. She wants to take a curriculum that will challenge her, take classes with students who are excited about learning, and have smart friends. Obviously she will be admitted to the honors college, but we still worry.

Are bright students genuinely challenged at UCF?

Also interested in knowing this.

It probably depends on your major. UCF is known for its engineering programs. Engineering would be considered “challenging.” Other majors may not have the challenge you seek. What is your child’s major?

My child’s major is English. She would also like to be challenged in history, philosophy – you get the idea.
