how common are hook ups on Vassar?

<p>Apparently 60% of the school is girls and half the guys are gay so that leaves a good rate for straight guys like me, but how common are hook ups on Vassar? and what type of dude is generally targeted there by girls, hipsters, preps, thugs, etc?</p>

<p>Kiltdad, I don’t think you should assume the hookup scene is the only reason OP wants to go to Vassar. lokuaz, while your post isn’t the most coherent, I’ll assume you’re not ■■■■■■■■, as the hookup scene is, indeed, a valid concern. It’s not true that half the guys are gay (more like 25%), but as a straight guy, unless you have absolutely no looks or social skills, there should be no shortage of hookups for you. ***** recently ranked Vassar as one of the top 10 schools where students “get lucky” the most, and all the others were huge state schools. As for “type of dude,” the people at Vassar don’t really concern themselves with labeling others…there are all kinds of people here who may or may not fit one, many, or none of the labels you provide.</p>

<p>i don’t think this is an invalid question at all. i’m a current student at vassar. they are very frequent if you are not socially awkward, which a lot of the students are. even if you are, you can hook up with anyone at the mug on the weekends.</p>

<p>if you are very socially adept, you develop relationships with multiple people that you sleep with for long periods of time as well as random hook ups. serious, monogamous relationships are rare but out there if you want them.</p>

<p>athletes and hipsters tend to get the most action. being an athlete, in shape, and social goes a very, very long way in this regard. hipsters are really just social awkward people that unite around an alternative way of dressing but it gives them a commonality that replaces normal social skills.</p>
