How could I improve my chances of getting into Cornell University?

As of right now, Cornell University is my top choice for where I’d love to go to school. Next year I will be going into my junior year of high school. Right now, I’m just planning on what I will do the next two years to prepare. This is my plan as well as what I’ve accomplished up to now.
-9th Grade GPA: 94.7
-10th Grade GPA: 98.4
-Overall GPA: 96.0
-I have gotten mastery scores on all of my regents exams up to now.
-I got a 5 on the AP Music Theory Exam.
-I got a 700 on the SAT II Subject test for Chemistry without much preparation (I plan to study really hard and will retake it for a higher score). I’m deciding on what other subject tests I will most likely take.
-By the end of high school, I plan to have completed 7 honors classes (English 10H, Chemistry Honors, Spanish 4H/Pre-AP, Precalculus Honors, Spanish 5H College, Independent Research, and Anatomy and Physiology). I will also try to take a class to become certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.
-By the end of high school, I plan to have completed 8 AP courses (Music Theory, Chemistry, Physics 1, Calculus AB or BC, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, Government and Politics, Macroeconomics, and maybe Statistics and Environmental Science if I could for them into my schedule).
-I’m assuming that I will get an SAT score of at least a 1600 (though I plan to get a much higher score). I also plan to take the ACT.
-I will have been involved in many clubs by the end of high school, including peer mentoring, community service, radio, science honor society, national honor society, Tri-M music honor society, and more.
-I volunteer after school often, and for the next two summers, I will most likely be volunteering at animal shelters to work with animals.
-I’ve had many accomplishments growing up, including opening for the band Zebra at a well known theater on Long Island, as well as performing the piano at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. I’ve also recorded an album with John Lennon’s record producer.

I know that it can’t really be told whether or not I have potential to be accepted until I actually do these things, but assuming that everything listed above is achieved, do you think that I have good chances? Any advice on how I could improve my chances of being accepted into Cornell University? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much in advance!

You seem like a very competitive candidate for Cornell. If you get your SAT score to be around the 2200 range, you could even be competitive for other top ivies, although they are a crapshoot in my honest opinion. Applying early decision to Cornell with an amazing essay highlighting exactly why Cornell is your top choice could definitely get you in. Good luck!

Your qualifications seem to be on par with others that would be applying to Ivy League Colleges. A few things that would help you out would obviously be an SAT score of AT LEAST 2100, considering the average is around that. Cornell, just like all the Ivies are reaches for everyone, no matter what your qualifications are. The only way to be 100% sure is to apply. Write a killer essay that shows them why they can’t live without you on their campus and you should be good. Best of luck with your application!

Cornell is a reach for everyone but you seem like a solid applicant. keep working hard

Which school within Cornell are you planning on applying to? What major? Many schools at Cornell focus on whether or not you’re a good fit for the specific program.

I plan on applying to be an Animal Science Major so that after completing an undergraduate degree, I could go on into their veterinarian school. I heard the one at Cornell is one of the best, if not the best, to go to in order to become a vet.

Cornell does have an amazing vet school, although you certainly don’t need to go to Cornell for undergrad in order to get into their vet school. But for animal science they will almost definitely assess your fit for the program, so be sure to display your passion and work with animals.
