I am a senior this year and stumbled upon this webpage. I am truly perplexed that anyone could have as many negative things to say about Haverford as to start a thread about it.

Coming to Haverford was the best decision I have ever made. I am from a small town in Alabama and the Haverford community has provided me both an amazing amount of comfort and challenges that push me to rethink myself, my community, and my values every day. The honor code, though not perfect, is a beacon of light in today's standards of cheating, disrespect and distrust. The faculty are the best in their field and they are here for one reason: to teach. They love their students as much as their subjects. It is clear that students love them as well based on the number of (awesome) pranks pulled on them by students today (April's fools) and the amount of time we spend with our mentors - at lunch, in their offices, in their classrooms, and walking around campus.

The Haverford community is a collection of administrators, students, staff members, and faculty members that care deeply about this institution but even more about eachother.

I respect a Haverford student's right to share their impressions of Haverford, but not in manner that seems disrespectful towards this community at large. Haverford is a wonderful school. Visit, chat with students, and see if it seems right for you.
