How Critical if UNC Has Not Received School Reports and Transcript Yet for Early Admission..

My kid has submitted Common Apps application fee is paid for before the 10/15 deadline for EA. However, UNC hasn't yet received the school reports and transcript yet (10 days after deadline). It appears that several students from the same HS received the same notice about missing transcripts. We parents, as you know, are very hesitant to ask or remind the SC on this as this is just beginning of many applications. The SC doesn't seem to worry too much about the deadlines. As a first-time college bound parent, I would like to know how critical to UNC if documents got lost in the mail and HS would not send out replacement documents soon? Will students who are missing those docs still be considered for application (Pending receipt of those docs for admission notice?). Basically, I just like to know whether UNC has a CLEAR CUT policy here: Sorry, we don't have your school reports and transcript by deadline, and you are not be considered!

Thanks great for your insight!

I believe the website says the EA deadline is 10/15 for the commonapp and that they give you another 2-3 weeks to get the other things in.

According to http://admissions.unc.edu/admissions-blog/2014/10/15/help-from-naviance-and-the-common-app-on-school-materials/#comments

“Thank you again to all the students, counselors, and teachers who are working so hard to complete applications and materials for admission to Carolina. Please note that the only things that must be submitted in time to be considered for our Early Action deadline by tonight, October 15, 2014, at 11:59 ET are the application itself, fee (or fee waiver), and the essays. Everything else can arrive after the deadline as long as we receive it by November 1.”
