Hello I am currently as student at a CCC and am an Art History Major.

I've been at a CC for four years now (I know too long switched my major 3 times) and by this Fall I was suppose to complete my two remaining courses, math and one studio art class.

Though I will be able to complete the math course I believe I will need to drop the art class and take it during spring. Do you think that is gonna hinder my chances at Berkeley anyway? I've called them and they are just saying that I need to just complete it by spring semester. I know that I am able to but I do not want to hinder my chances at Cal so I'm little bit worried.

(P.S. what would have happened if it was my math course not my art class, that would have definitely made my chances slim right?)

Take the math in fall and art in spring. That will be fine, but get math done in fall as it is a general UC req and some UCs might reject you if not done by fall. The art is OK in spring.

Berkeley most likely won’t reject you because you’re completing your last pre-req class in spring, especially in a major that isn’t impacted, such as art history.

And I second what @lindyk8 said, it’s best to try to get math done by the end of Fall(There’s always the risk of putting off math until spring, then failing it and getting your admission offer rescinded), especially if you’re applying to UCSB. They’re anal about that for some reason and routinely reject applicants who don’t get it done by the end of Fall.

I don’t think that will be a problem, especially for Art History. I think it’s usually extremely competitive STEM majors that they want you to get pre-reqs finished early.

Thank you all for quick answer. Appreciate it much. PS wow I have so many typos and grammatical mistakes. I guess thats what happens when you try to write something on your phone during a class. LOL
