The test you need to take to obtain a driver's license. How much do I need to study for it?

Which state do you live in?

In Iowa, it was really simple. And I mean really simple.

new jersey

i just took it yesterday.
pretty easy if you read the 100 page driver manual (for oregon).
i missed a couple of questions on random distances (how far you should be from a fire truck, how far you should be before signaling a turn, et cetera).

im from nj. its easy. i think ... 2 people failed out of 30 i know and they got lke ... 78's (cutoff is 80 i think)

are you talking about the permit test? I'm in California, took it recently, got 5 wrong...and NOW IM DRIVING, BABY! :) But I need an 'adult' with me until January...grr.

I thought it was the DMV.

yeah, for nj it's an 80 to pass, though like half my class failed the first time [class of 197] though if you care even a little bit about it and know basics like parking on a hill and how far you should park from certain things than you should be fine.

Should I read or memorize the manual?

If you're a pretty smart person, simply reading the manual should be sufficient (with special attention to numerical things)...

At my high school (I'm in NJ, too), you take Driver's Ed for the first marking period of sophomore year and everyone takes the test at the end of the class. I think the vast majority of people passed. I got a score in the 90s. Then again, we had just finished a class on the subject.

Wow, I thought you were talking about calc >_>

yeah, pay SPECIAL attention to speed limits and other numerical things...

Read manual, memorize speed limits.

memorize distances where you should stop (15 ft away from stop sign or whatever it is) and speed limits on certain roads ... a lot of it is numerical like sarah said.

its just read and memorize

Knowledge test

hey, i just passed the test today, and i didn't even read the book, it took me like 3 days to study, is very simple, just go on this site, and take the test so meny times you feel like you know , then you should go for the real test. the sites i told you about are: www.edisondriving.com www.safetyfirstdriving.com.
I live in Nj, so if you live in other state, you can go on google and look for dmv tests online NJ, or what state you are looking for, i hope this is going to help, for me it work, the real test is allmost the same like the one you teke home on the internet!
Good luck!
