<p>for most schools it depends on if there is an interviewer in your area. also the sooner you send in your app, the more likely it is to get an interview.</p>
<p>Mostly. Some areas are well served by volunteers, some others not. For my alma mater's interviewing network, it's completely random. We are sent contact info for all completed applications -- with no info about the relative strengths of the applicant. In that sense, we are "blind" to the student's metrics and background.</p>
<p>The fabulously qualified 5 star student is handled the same as the unrealistic candidate -- at least by us.</p>
