I received a 2210 on SAT (680 cr, 780 m, 750 writing, 12 essay) but a 34 composite on ACT. I have to send both since I have SAT II's to include (800 M2, 710 physics). How will the colleges (some ivies, northwestern, rice) look at my sat I vs act, look at both and average or just the higher act?

I'm sure you know more about this than I do, but don't a lot of schools not require SAT IIs if you submit an ACT with writing score?

yale doesn't but most want either sat/act and 2-3 sat II's

This is not true. Most accept the ACT w/ writing in place of everything.

ok your the expert its not like princeton specifically says "act or sat, and 3 sat 2's" or rice says "sat or act with writing + 2 sat II's".

Did I say EVERY school? No, I said most. Now stop being so ignorant.

but my question only pertained to the schools i mentioned in the original post.

They will look at your ACT since it's equivalent to about a 2300.
