How do double period classes work?

Has anyone taken a full year of a double period class for example double period AP Bio or double period AP Chem? How does your grade show up on your transcript? Is it like getting 1 credit each semester as opposed to getting .5 of a credit?

At my school, many science classes have double periods three days a week, but still count as one credit for the whole year. It alternates with gym, so its not like its taking up space for another potential class.

Do you have a program of studies you could refer to? It may list the amount of credits you get for the course.

I am in AP Calc BC which is double period and will take AP Chem next year which is also double period. It counts as 2 units of credit for us for the whole year. It affects our GPA’s weight accordingly. If I get an A, its like getting an A in two AP classes

It depends, ask your GC.
