How do fee waivers work?

I qualify for fee waivers since I get reduced lunch, and I got fee waivers for the ACT and SAT. I don’t know how many colleges to apply to since I don’t know how many app. fee waivers I can get.

So my question is: how many fee waivers can I get and where do I get them? I’m not planning on submitting my SAT (ACT instead) and I will probably submit my SAT subj tests for a few colleges.

Also, if I want to send those tests to colleges, how many fee waivers am I allowed?

Talk to your high school GC they may have waivers they can give you. Otherwise you have to look up on the College Board how to get them. And ACT, go to their website and look it up. Usually I think you get 4. But private colleges will often issue you a fee waiver if you email them. Also some publics will, in CA the UC and CSU schools have a waiver section as part of the electronic application and you get up to 4 on the spot.
