how do I get in to UCLA?

any advice for a junior with a 4.57 weighted cum GPA and unweighted 3.86 GPA to get into UCLA? im free this summer and I want to whatever is possible to get into UCLA.. any advice on what I can do as of now?

anyone? anything is appreciated…

Get your SATs as high as possible.

Prepkid2013, you are obviously new to CC. Welcome. I recommend doing something worthwhile with your summer. An internship, a summer magnet school, any type of educational camp, an extra class, or even a paid job. Any of those will add to your college application, and it is your last summer to do so. Are you in California? If not, I’m sure you know about UC OOS admissions, so you need to have an outstanding application. You didn’t really give me enough information to go on as to give you much advice, but as Waverly said, make sure you work on your SAT if the score is low. However, I strongly advise to ignore most of what Waverly says. If you check him/her out, you will find he/she is a profound pessimist, which of course he/she justifies as thinking of him/herself as blunt and honest. He/she weights things like a certain SAT score as absolutely essential to admission, whereas if you pay attention to decisions at all this year, you will see that holistic approaches are on the rise. Whereas a 1600 on the SAT was almost a golden ticket in the past, it is really not that important now.

I would definitely recommend hanging out with your friends everyday, especially any that are going to top colleges, such as duke. Also, I’d recommend writing spectacular essays.

What if I am not attending ccc, and also international in U.S, can I successfully transfer into UCLA? GPA3.8+(trying to reach 3.9) No much EC, just clubs. But I like travel, can it strengthen my resume? Thank you.
