So this fall semester i will be a freshman and I’m taking 4 classes back to back monday, wednesday, and friday. The first one is in the engineering 1 building and starts at 9:30-10:20 and then the 2nd class is the mathematical sciences building, the 3rd is the harris corp engineering, and the 4th is the mathematical sciences building. Each class starts 10 minutes after the last one finishes and I’m worried I won’t get to class on time, what’s the best way to know where I’m going and get there on time? I am so anxious about being late and missing my first class someone please help. The app doesn’t work amazing and on google maps the only routes are along the actual roads. Thanks!
Get a map of campus (there should be one on the website) and find out the shortest route from bldg. to bldg. Go old school and print it out and then actually use a highlighter to delineate the routes.
When you get on campus, before classes start, do a trial run and walk the route so that you know where you’ll be going beforehand. Take notice of the buildings and landmarks you pass along the way.
Once you do this, you should be good to go.
It’s probably less than 1000 feet between MSB and either of those engineering buildings. You should be able to walk it in less than 5 minutes. You’ll be fine! UCF has an app that can help you navigate the campus. Have a great first day on Monday!
When I started college two years ago, I went on a tour to find my classes. It’s really beneficial if you just walk the route once to see where everything is. Don’t worry if you get lost, though. You’re not the first, and you won’t be the last. Have a great first day of college!
Totally agree with walking the route before classes start. Best thing ever, and I’ve used this strategy throughout my life, whenever there’s a new job or a new commute.
You will get there on time no worries. I also had a schedule like that, except my engineering class and oral communications were perfectly across campus. I was still on time. The 3 buildings are all close to each other. Plus, the professors will always let you out a bit early.
What I suggest is you do a few walks today to know where the buildings are. You should have no problem getting there on time

How did it all pan out for You?
