How do I get to Kenyon?

I'm a student at Notre Dame, and I have plans to visit a friend from high school on Easter weekend who is a student at Kenyon. I don't have access to a car, and I'd really like to avoid spending more than ~200 dollars on transportation for the trip. South Bend, IN (where ND is located) has a couple of means of travel like trains, buses, and the amtrak.

However, I really can't find any way to get to Kenyon that does not involve either a car or an exuberant fee (like a taxi from Columbus). Kenyon's website says that there really aren't any means of public transportation to Kenyon other than a taxi.

Are there really no buses that travel to the area? I'd be fine with taking a taxi if a bus or a train could bring me a little closer than Columbus, but I don't know the area well and I was wondering if any students at Kenyon could offer any advice.

Thank you!

I visited Kenyon in late February and I can indeed vouch that their are not any buses that run directly to Kenyon from the airport. It takes about an hour and 10 minutes to get to Kenyon from the airport. Gambier is out their and a lot of Kenyon students own or use their friend's cars to get around.

It's been a loooooong time, but way-back-when, Kenyon participated in a shuttle service to and from the airport. Is this no longer the case? 'Cause it's a reaaaallllyy long walk across the cornfields!
Really, you should call the school directly and ask.

It is going to cost a lot of $ unless you do this...Greyhound to Columbus and have your friend borrow a car to get you at the bus depot.
