i got hazed hard at ucla
pledged 10 weeks
dped 10th week

hazing exists

going to school while pledging can screw you over, you go through most of the quarter, gettign haze dharder and harder, youre already gettign Cs in ur classes, yet you have to choose between gettin hazed exponentially harder or to quit the frat , youre already failing in school so if you quit you will be left with nothing but no social life and a crappy GPA

I don't even know what zero week is...
Why do you want to be in a frat?
Not like "you are stupid for even considorating it", but like...
what are the benefits?

1) Why the hell did you drop 10th week?

2) It's not hard to keep your grades up, you just have to priorities/not put stuff off. No reason you can't get a 4.0 during pledge quarter.

LaxAttack is probably correct when he says that there is no hazing among the major frats, whatever they may be.. this is what it SEEMS from what people tell me, but I personally don't know too many people in these frats, so don't take my word for it. However, I TOTALLY agree with smith415 when he says that ethnic frats haze, pretty hardcore for that matter. Yes, it is true that no one is going to FORCE you to do anything, however, peer pressure is POWERFUL. The frats always like to tell you "you don't have to do anything you want to" or "we will never force you do something against your will" BUT... you'll do it anyways out of peer pressure and what not.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are many frats out there that don't haze,. but to make the assumption that they are all like that is totally absurd. It really depends on which frat you finally decide to pledge though, each will have give you a unique experience.

1.declare yourself youre a total douche bag.
2.all your conversations invovle, "Dude I got so wasted last night"
3.When you go to the gym, you look at yourself in the mirror all the time and give high fives to your partner.

^ heh. the guy version of the sorority stereotypes.

declare everyone else as "omg she's such a biotch!"

all your conversations involve waaaay too much drama

when you're going to a party, you look at yourself in the mirror all the time and ask your roommates if your makeup matches your shoes

If you do not get accepted into your dream Frat (SAE) during fall rush, can you try again in spring or is it a waste of time? Should you still hang out with the members and continue to show your interest?
