Hey guys, I just got accepted to Pitt today but the acceptance packet did not mention anything about UHC. Does this mean I'm not eligible?

Sometimes the UHC letter comes with admission and other times it is sent separately (I think my UHC letter came with my scholarship letter some 2 weeks after my acceptance packet).

But regardless, you don’t even need auto-acceptance into UHC to do anything they offer (UHC Dorm, classes, activities, etc.) You can ask for permission (which is almost always granted) to do those things regardless of acceptance coming into Pitt.

D1 (6 years ago) was notified of UHC admission in the same letter as her acceptance to PItt.
D2 (4 years ago) was notified of UHC admission, by mail, about three weeks after her Pitt acceptance letter.

Thanks! Does anyone know when scholarship info will come out?

My D got her acceptance today! No word on UHC or scholarships. Her GC told us that last year Pitt didn’t let any kids know about honors or money until October 1st. Also she warned us that scholarships are getting smaller.

Congratulations to your daughter! And yeah, I’m hoping that applying earlier will get more aid.

Scholarships start rolling out around now and continue through March. So you might hear back within a few weeks of acceptance or a few months. It just depends. Keep in mind the scholarship committee only meets once a week so it’s a lot of work for them to sort through all the applications with less time.
