how do the quads on livingston work?

i know there are three quads.
what about the houses? how many floors are in a house?
how many rooms are on a floor?

dissect this number for me.
ex: Quad 1 House 12 Room 1212

the quads suck. tiny rooms, no A/C, lounge is crap, girls and guys are seperate…

[Rutgers University Housing Residence Life](http://housing.rutgers.edu/ie/index.php?page=content/Common/Halls/Livingston/QuadTwo.php)

info is there. so pretty much, each quad has houses that are inter-connected (you can get to each house through underground tunnels and such). apparently, quads have four- five stories according to that site. but i’m not too sure. the number is pretty straight-forward (just wait for my explanation): you live in quad 1, house number 12, in room 1212, which i am assuming to be on the first floor from the 12.

i had a friend who lived in the basement of one of the quads and he really liked it. the thing about livingston is yeah, you’re in the ****hole and every other campus absolutely hates you, but you can just bond with other livingston people over that, you know? that’s how my friend explained it to me. you’ll be just fine. hope this was a bit helpful!

why does every other campus hate livingston?

Try spending one day on Livingston, Koto.

It’s so depressing. It’s just parking lots, old buildings that look like it hadn’t been updated since the 70s and just … drabby. Heck, they call the Quads the Quadjects. People state that the food at Tillett dining hall sucks. Nothing really happens here, unlike the other campuses – except the basketball games and Rutgersfest.

ha, i don’t hate livingston, but it seems like the majority of the student population does, mostly due to the unwieldy construction this past year. but construction is/has wrapping/wrapped up, and it’s looking good. it honestly doesn’t deserve all the negativity it gets, but it is the undesirable campus, when compared to the other three. and as mushaboom says, nothing much really goes on on livingston.

People don’t like livingston for many more reasons than just construction, though that definitely adds to it.

single sex floors

ugly dorms

old/ugly buildings

tillet sucks

nothing ever happens on livingston

the B to busch is a btch

… etc

Busch has the nicest dorms and a good study atmosphere, football games, plus a pretty good dining hall.
College ave has the most stuff to do/most restaurants/houses/apartments
Cook/Douglass has a pretty gorgeous campus, best dining hall, douglass cafe

What does livingston have? Sbarros (tongue in cheek here), RAC, … ehh.

ohhh, alrighty then. haha!

Are the floors in Quad 3 carpeted?

mattmoosemom: i had a friend in quad 2 last year, and his floors were tiled. i assume that quad 3 isn’t any different. but i don’t know for sure.

Thanks, naoise, for the reply. We have carpets from his dorm in his previous college, and I just wondered if we needed to bring them later this month.

quad 3 has titled floors.

Is toilet paper supplied in Quad 3? Seems like a dumb question, but in my son’s first dorm at UD the TP was supplied, but in the 2nd dorm it was not. Just wanted to know if I should start looking for sales.
