This might seem a little bit stupid. But how do you dance at a junior prom? do you grind?

Probably the same as at a senior prom.

So, yes grinding.

Most people grind. A lot of people at my prom seemed to be dateless, so not as much grinding and more sort of general dancing with friends.
I got tired of grinding after Homecoming (when I had a date, so maybe that was why I liked it then). I always feel a little bump coming through, if you get the allusion/what I mean.

don’t you think grinding is kind of provocative?

^ Wow, lol.

you could do the lawnmower, the sprinkler, the shopper, spin on your head, the worm, or maybe one of my favs the bus driver
all sorts of ways to dance
haha

Grinding is *****ing lame.

Raving is the way to go.

Anyone who has Tiesto as their ringtone will never bring themselves down to grinding. It’s all about twirling, moving your hands around, and going crazy.

Learn to grind now… get ready for college.

Hellz no. I’ve been dancing so many times. Grinding is lame.

Like dancing with other people.

In college I’m only going to clubs that play electronica and real dance music.

I went to junior prom last year with someone I was dating for a few months, and there wasn’t any grinding. Just do whatever is fun.

Grinding with someone who’s not your girlfriend/boyfriend or is not drunk (and you likewise, hopefully - no date rape por favor) = weird.

But grinding is, IMO, fun.
Raving’s fun too if you get a bunch of kids to just go insane with you.

Slow dancing sucks unless you’ve got a girlfriend/boyfriend.

Grinding is fine when you are in a relationship with that person, but yeah, raving is pretty much the theme of my friends’ and my dancing, so we obviously find it to be the most entertaining.

And yes, slow dancing is pretty lame/awkward when you don’t have a girlfriend/boyfriend because I usually end up with one of my friends…

lol… grinding is banned at our dances. After a warning, second violation is forced removal from premises… :)

Slow dancing is awk with a non- bf or -gf, however, grinding is fun with anyone. =]

Since there is a direct correlation between a girl’s ability to grind and her ability to have sex… You should probably grind. If you are a boy, you’ll know who to go after. If you aren’t, then people will hopefully go after you. I personally require all potential dating possibilities to grind with me.

Slow dancing is a HELL NO even when you have a boyfriend or girlfriend.

Gryffon, even though I think grinding is ■■■■■■■■, I don’t think it should be banned. That is so Footloose.

I guess I’m a freak compared to everyone else who has posted on this thread, but that’s okay. I dance like no one is watching. It’s a sort of release for me. I just like to forget about everything as I focus on the beat of the music and just get lost in moving.

And aluminum_boat, I disagree. And that is all I’m going to say. :P

do people only do grinding their (with the exception of it being banned and all…) cuz that seems kinda lame. my friends went to my school’s jp and said that people only did grinding and breakdancing…thats kinda dumb lol

i mean i might enjoy if i experienced it (lul) but it seems kinda dirty o.o

It is dirty…but a necessary part of the high school experience.

I completely disagree. =]

But, there are some songs where it’s hard to do anything else besides slow dancing!

Grinding is usually an attempt to show off (in my opinion), and definitely not neccesary. Save it for the bed :p.
