I am taking a course outside of school, and it seems like I am not going to have a transcript for it until after ED.
Is there a way to explain this situation on your app?? I really want the colleges to know that I'm actually taking a math class, just outside of school (It will not be added to my highschool transcript because it will affect my GPA)
Like do you just explain it in your essay? Sorry this might seem like a dumb question haha

The common app asks you to list your senior year classes. You can list one as:

Class 123 (taking at XYZ Community College)

Not much more needs to be said.

But how would they know if Im just making up random classes? They wont have any evidence whereas the rest of my classes will be listed on my transcript

it doesn’t matter, they’ll see you’re taking it somewhere else because you’ll list it so. Its an honor system, just like your ECs

There’s also the ‘additional information’ field on the CA. If you feel the need to say more about your math class or your transcript in general, that’s a good place to put it. Kids who have a ‘grade story’ or other explanations of unusual circumstances can put that info there rather than waste the essay on this kind of housekeeping stuff. Save your essay for the positive picture – what you really want to show colleges about you.

Thank you all for your help!
