How do you get a academic renewal from UCR?

I went to UCR straight out of high school back in 1993. Well, in my new found freedom, education took back seat. Needless to say, many years later, I went back to jr. college and got my A.S., and landed on the dean's list. But I was rejected transfer to UCSD due to my black listing at UCR. Admissions recommended academic renewal. I went onto UCR's website and did a search for academic renewal, but nothing came up. I also e-mailed someone at admin but it has been months without a single reply. Does anyone know what I can do? Who I need to talk to, or what paper work to fill out? Riverside is far from where I currently live.

Please, any information will be greatly appreciated. I just want to get my bachelor's degree, but due to my mistake 17yrs. ago, I cannot go back to any state schools.

To answer your question, we need more information. What exactly happened at UCR? Were you dismissed? Expelled? Did you withdraw with the right to return?

You can also call UCSD and ask them what they meant by “academic renewal” and whom you should call at UCR to make “academic renewal” happen.

I don’t get why this is “needless to say.” Does everyone that drops out of UCR wind up on the community college Dean’s List?
