Are you automatically contacted to schedule an interview or was there an email sent about scheduling the interview?
On TAMS, it now provides info on my regional contact person thingy, will they contact me in regards to scheduling an interview?
Also, I don't remember, but are interviews mandatory/highly suggested at Tufts?

Your interviewer contacts you; or, alternatively, Tufts will let you knwo that there is no alum volunteer interviewer near you. They are not mandatory but they are a good way to show interest in the school as well as to show a different side of you to the admissions committee.

when i applied i didn't get an interview because i applied late in the application process. i was concerned so i called admissions and they said not to worry about it.

My daughter received a letter saying that they received her application and someone will contact her in 3 weeks for an interview. I believe she received the letter last week. She sent her application in around xmas.

i live in the los angeles area and got a letter saying they received my app.. but that too many ppl from my area applied (even though i'm pretty sure im the only one that applied at MY school).. and tufts doesn't have enough alumni interviewers.. bad news for me.. ebcuase i think an interview would've really bumped my chances!!!!

hmm...i also recieved the letter ssaying in 3 weeks id get an interview..mcrk did u recieve that letter also or only a letter saying no interview?

This is the way it works: when you submitted your Common App or your Tufts Supplement, your name went into the alumni interview system. A local committee chair then does the best that he or she can to assign applicants to interviewers. For some local committees, the number of applicants far exceeds the number of available interview slots--a sad reality of having to rely on volunteers.

Once an applicant has been assigned to an interviewer, the interviewer contacts the applicant, either by phone or email, to offer the interview and set up the time and place.
