So I logged into the Application Managment System today and saw a little message at the bottom that said:

"The chair of the Tufts Alumni Admissions committee in your area has been notified that you have applied. If you have not been contacted within four weeks, you should notify the chair listed below..."

I'd assumed I wasn't getting an interview, because I forgot to log into TAMS and check it. So my question is, four weeks from when?? Do you think this message popped up yesterday or five weeks ago? Should I wait longer or notify the chairperson soon?

They mean four weeks from when you applied, so since it’s now Feb. 18 I would DEFINITELY email the regional chair now. The same thing happened to me, where the original interviewer they had assigned me to was abroad and therefore never emailed me. Sometimes things happen and people will slip between the cracks. Hopefully if you email the regional chair they’ll straighten things out.

And don’t worry if for some reason you can’t interview. I ended up not being able to schedule an interview, and I got in anyways. They really don’t hold not interviewing against you.

It’s getting very late for alum interview assignments. It is possible that they just don’t have the capacity to cover you, but I would ask asap, because if you don’t, you definitely won’t get one in time for the committee’s review.
