how do you make yourself stand out in a very competitive major?

pardon the long title, but i'm very interested in majoring in international politics at georgetown through the SFS and i am well aware that it's VERY competitive. In this case, how can you make yourself stand out and have better chances? could you possibly put down undecided on your app?

yah tell them you want to major in like some crazy medevil history or something and then transfer majors

haha "russian studies" yea i was thinkn about that...

yah it could work. Public schools don't care about what your major is as much as private ones do. I had a friend who got inot harvard by declaring some obscure major and then changing it after a year.

the thing is though, you might have to stay in that major for at least a year and then you can transfer. Are you willing to take lame classes for 43 thousand dollars a year????? It's up to you.

yea ur right. i honestly think it's a waste of money. but what else can i do with the major i want?

do u plan on attending grad school. Cause nowdays its your grad school that counts not necessarily your undergraduate school.

yes, def grad school. my dream school is columbia since they've got the best int. law program. but im not really to selective. any good program will do.
