<p>I scored a 112.5 on the AMC-12 (answered first 15/16 correctly)</p>
<p>Last year I only chose to answer 11 and got a 101 on AMC-12, but didn't take the AIME due to this chemistry award/program I was doing.</p>
<p>How do I prepare for the AIME test? What type of questions are on it? What do I need to know?</p>
<p>Please help/share anything I should use to prepare for this.</p>

<p>search aime problems online and the first link (the kalva site) has ALL the AIMES to date, you'll need all the practice in order to score well (atleast a 4)</p>

i got a 118ish on AMC12 and like a 2?? maybe on AIME....its like 15 questions in 3 hours, some are doable but i came out feeling as if i had embarassed my calculus teacher
o well</p>

<p>The advice for preparing for any math test is to hang out on the Art of Problem Solving site (which is where I learned about this CC site). </p>
<p>Yeah, i got 4/15. That's more than anyone at my school has gotten in recent memory...</p>
<p>But my school doesn't prepare for this sort of math contest. Some schools have clubs that just prepare for the AIME/USAMO.</p>

<p>I got a 9 (may have been 8 if i transfered one of the answers wrong) this year on the AIME 2 from doing around 5 of the past practice tests on the kalva website. AOPS is also a very good source for the problems. The people there are nice too. Too bad I missed USAMO though. >_<</p>

<p>Well, I got a 116 or something on the AMC-12 and a 3 on the AIME...unless you think you have a shot at the USAMO (aka, you are a machine) it probably won't really help too much to study.</p>
