Red bull? Coffee?

tonight i'll be running on music, but if i know i'll be pulling an allnighter a bag of pretzels and a couple frappuccinos is the norm

well my starbucks is open till 1am so I usually get a java chip and a v frap. when i'm 2 lazy to drive over, i drink 2-3 cans of pepsi/coca-cola... dunno y but uhh yeah pepsi's been helping me for so long :) not into energy drinks (tried Monster cause ppl said it tasted good -- tasted gross...)

why the hell would you want to stay up all night..

Staying up at night is rarely a problem for me. I have to get up at 6am for a 0 period class, and I'm usually OK too...even though I dread getting up.

I feel fine until about 11 am, then I feel terribly drowsy. This is without caffeine though; if I drink 1/2 cup of coffee when I wake-up, I'm fine the entire day.

Basically I can stay up, but in the morning it takes forever for me to get out of bed. And even when I do, I have trouble staying up. I drink tea but I dont find that it helps too much....

Green tea, ginseng... Cold water is as effective as it is simple, too. Also, open the windows and get everything that is fluffy away from you. You must be as uncomfortable as possible.

And the most important part: actually do your work, assuming this is the reason why you want to stay up. Daydreaming (or nightdreaming?) is notorious for the groggy.

One problem with homeschooling/self-studying (or not being in school in the first place) is that when you pull an all-nighter, you just sleep the day afterwards. =P So then it's easy to get 8 hrs of sleep.

Unless one is exposed to activities that indirectly cause the brain to release huge amounts of dopamine (namely, MMORPGs). =P I haven't had exposure to such activities in a while though.

just drink a lot of water. you'll keep needing to get up and go to the bathroom, so you won't get to sleep.
also, when you start to get sleepy, blast your favorite song and throw a 3-minute spontaneous dance party. it'll wake you up.

or, if you need serious help, opt for caffeine pills/red bull...

I come here every 5 minutes and chat....

Music, cold water, iced tea (especially green tea), and sheer willpower.

Sheer willpower all the way baby =]

Or you can sleep and wake up in the morning and do whatever you need to do.

Instead of coffe, try getting some good Green Tea bags...b/c unlike coffee, green tea will give you a constant amount of alertness and energy unlike coffee which tends to give you a spike

I used to drink coffee before, but now it has become natural for me to sleep only 6 hours a day (without coffee and without feeling sleepy).

So I think the caffeine is involved in a symbiotic relationship with my body now.

Can't wait to pull all-nighters!

Yay!

An apple is supposed to do wonders in terms of energy; better than coffee. Mabye you should try that.

actually i agree with ranks here. That's what i do oddly enough.

music, coffee or other energizing drink, and sometimes my friends stay up with me through aim

And for some,

Adderall, Modafinil, or Ritalin.

Watch Saw.

Anyways, if you guys need any inspiration...
