So apparently my community college (Moorpark) doesn't have TAG?! That's what they told me, which I thought was weird. But I also thought TAG is when you just check off a box if you have a 3.0 or higher, and it almost "Guarantees" you admission? Is it right that you just check off a box or is it an involved process that you have to go through with your cc? (don't forget I'm somewhat new to california, so that's why I might seem a little Deedeedee :) )

I go to Moorpark. Steer clear of all counselors here, they have no idea what they are saying. They are paid so much to give poor advice.

Just check the box on the application and make sure you meet the TAG requirements for the specific school you’re applying to. CCC’s don’t have TAG, the UCs do and the UCs set their own requirements. You can TAG from any CCC AFAIK, as long as you meet the specific UCs requirements.

That’s what I freaking thought!!! LOL!!

Is “Tag” on the UC application b/c I couldn’t find it :-
I mean where do you actually find it?

u google TAG and the school u want and fill out the form. uci was due like a month ago. don’t know or care aobut the other ones

yeah i think i’m just going to apply as is lol
i heard tag is way overrated X_X it doesn’t even “guarantee” you admission but idkk. i’m just going to bite the bullet and wait lol.
good luck to everybody!

TAG guarantees you admission to the school but not always the major you want…from what i’ve gathered

The way you apply for TAG is to check the box on the UC application. “Academic History (part four)” is the part of the app. where you check the box.

My school’s advisor told me that TAG is worthless if you forget the check the IGETC certification box along with it. Don’t forget to do that!
