How does IB final exams work?

Hello

I'll keep it short.

I'm going to IB, let's say a university that I applied to admitted me during March or April, which is before my IB final exams. After that admission, is all I have to do is pass my IB finals and get my diploma? Does it matter what my final GPA is (which is announced like in August)?

Thank you.

If you’re applying to a university in the US, they won’t care what your IB scores are. It’s different than in England, where unis will make you offers based on your exams and stuff but in the US, IB scores are just used to determine if you’ll get college credit.

You still have to keep your GPA up though because if colleges see a dramatic drop in your GPA or if you fail any classes, they might revoke your admission.

I know if I fail any classes, I won’t get my diploma and I won’t be eligible to attend any school at all, but if I just drop my grades a little bit, is a revoke still possible?

Where are you going to school, i.e., US or somewhere else?

Outside US
