How does my Sophomore Schedule look?

Courses:

Honors Latin II
Honors Chemistry
Honors English 10
Honors Algebra II
AP U.S History
Honors - Foundations of Law (1/2 year)
Honors - Forensic Science (1/2 year)

Also, for those of you who have taken AP US History, how much grief did it give you? And was it worth it? APUSH is the only available AP course to Sophomores.

It looks fine, and also pretty similar to mine!

I’ll also be taking Psychology and Sociology at my local community college on the weekend during the school year.

Only 1 AP?

Can’t take more?

It looks really good, actually! A lot like my current schedule, too.

APUSH is the only available AP for Sophomores.

Self study some APs?

The APUSH class difficulty changes depending on the school. Ask some upperclassmen about the homework load/etc. You’re better off asking about the difficulty of the test, which I can’t help you with - currently a Soph in APUSH.

APUSH may appear to be the only class available to sophmores, but nothing is every impossible with the correct classes/pre-reqs taken over the summer. I was under a similiar impression as you, thinking that only AP Euro was available sophmore year. But as I soon found out, many people managed to take AP Chem, Econ, and other subjects because they took classes online during the summer. If you are looking to be competitive for the ivy league or other top level universities I would recommend looking into this.

Also if your guidance office says it can’t be done, ask the principal, thats where the power is.

Good luck!

Just take as many APs as you can. Our APUSH was reading a chapter or two every week and doing a test at the end of every week. If you can keep up with a fast pace, your’e okay.
