How early can someone self-study AP Psychology?

if a person was really interested in psychology, hardworking, and consistently ranked in the 99th percentile in state standardized tests, how early, realistically, could a person self study AP psych? 10th grade.....9th grade??

Very realistically. It's been done, and it isn't too hard if you're very motivated.

Do it freshman year and get it out of the way. Otherwise you'll end up having to cram it in along with several other exams, which is what has happened to me this year. I have so many others things to review that it doesn't seem like I've spent enough time self studying my Psych. I just began reading my review book 2 days ago.

You can do it. Just get Barron's book and read it cover to cover, do the practice tests etc. Maybe start a couple of months before next year's AP test and study for a couple of hours a day. Should go pretty well.

alright cool. thanks for the responses. any other easy APs that could be self studied freshman year?

geography is very easy to self study, regardless of grade level.

If you have an interest for international affairs, do comparative government. People tend to do better in things they enjoy, so definitely look into it, if you like politics. I find it really easy, and using the Ethel Wood study guide basically guarantees a 5.
