How easy is it to change majors?

Basically IF I attend OSU I want to do finance or something related but I might apply for Psychology seeing as I got a 5 on the AP exam. So basically lets make up a scenario.
Before you got in the school? Yes, it’s very easy to switch things around before you’re even enrolled.

It’s not too hard to switch majors as a current student as well, but the problem is the finance major is part of the Business College (Fisher) which you have to apply for and wait to get in. The psychology major is part of the Arts and Sciences College which is a lot more relaxed in terms of getting in, you just meet with an advisor and change/declare your major in that case.

I’m a current finance major in my senior year- and I do suggest you check out the major and consider it–there are vastly better career opportunities for finance majors than for psych majors, although finance classes are going to be more difficult for the average student. In order to be admitted to the finance major, you have to apply after your freshman year, and have a college GPA of around 3.4-3.5 (I’m not sure which) or higher. Some people who struggle with grades their freshman year may have to wait until they have a high enough GPA to apply, but you can always apply a semester or two later than usual if you don’t have the prerequisite GPA.
