How exactly do AP scores transfer

I've done fairly well in a lot of AP exams at my high school but what I'm most curious about is how my score in AP Lit will transfer. I got a 5 and the UCSB packets i've gotten says this score is equivalent to writing 1, 1E, 1LK, 2, 2E, 2LK, 50, 50E, 50LK. Does this mean I don't have to take these classes? I'm not really that fond of english classes so I'm hoping this gets me out of it.
I've been admitted as an electrical engineer major if that helps

It means you don’t have to take any writing classes at all. (You completed your writing requirement in your GE’s with that 5 in AP Lit.)

Also, if you’re an EE major. . .then your days in English classes are over. (to your happiness lol)

EDIT: How’d you already take AP Lit?

I may be wrong but I think some schools have Lit and then Comp as opposed to the conventional Comp/Lit structure.

Thanks! Sweet I was hoping it meant I wouldn’t have to do it anymore.
My school has it reverse with Lit junior year and Lang senior year. I’m not sure why but the English dept. has tried to change it but the district hasn’t let them

lol lakers, I guess swapping the lit/language has been a blessing in disguise for you after all.

Have fun taking no more writing classes! xD

Would a 5 in Lang/Comp get me out of a significant amount of GE English classes?

A 5 in Lang would get you out of the same classes as a 5 in lit, so yes :)
