<p>Um, I don’t know this is what I was wondering too. I don’t think it has to be all formal with a lengthy intro and conclusion. I mean, it’s a personal essay that usually isn’t too long, so I don’t think they will looking too closely at format. For me, I’m just making sure my point is clear and I’m not overdoing any sentences. The essays are just to show who you are, and for each person it’s different. I’ve heard about people who have done poems, and that’s definitely not your standard 5 paragraph thesis paper.</p>

<p>I didn’t divide my essays into paragraphs at all. It looks kind of weird when you post it into the application and if the schools really expect you to write 3-5 paragraphs, then I’d probably only have like 1-3 sentences per paragraph. Ugh, why does this have to be so complicated?!</p>
<p>I wouldn’t worry about it too much yongatilla. This isn’t formal writing, it’s a basically an expression of your true personality. Which for some people comes across better in a structured essay. Just make sure it flows.</p>
<p>When does everyone think they’ll be able to submit their essays? I’m thinking around January 9th for me. Just might let them be for the first week back to school then make last minute edits the weekend before they’re due.</p>
