I weigh 171lbs, 5’ 10" and I can run a 6 minute mile. Good enough for me.

Male. 5’10" and 120 lbs.

The very opposite of fat.

I’m 5’7" and 115 lbs. I’m not fat AT ALL! My BMI is probably a 17 or 18.

I’m going to spend my spare time bumping this thread.

I’m 5’7" and 180. My family is naturally muscular (not fat, which explains the added weight). I do have a little fat, but I exercise 3-4 times a week and eat a healthy diet. My doctor says that I could lose some weight though.

Though I could be considered somewhat stocky, I pale in comparison to your mother, you pillock.

(Queue synchronized “daaaayums”)

5’7"~5’8" and 134 lbs, BMI 21
female

still want to lose weight though, like 15-20 lbs :P

I did not study for the SAT whatsoever but stress for college final exams this first semester made me pack on the pounds…

I would think more academically motivated people tend to be thinner on average because of “good breeding” or something like that…or walking around their college campus a lot once they are in college.
I certainly notice a lot less obese people at my university…

I’m very fat indeed.

21 BMI running sub 5 minute mile seems unrealistic. I have like a 19.something BMI and I can barely break 5:30.

@dfree, your BMI is 20.6 not 17.5

I’m a guy and asian. 5’6 and 110 lb. I would say I’m on the small side but I (used to) run a 7 min mile, now 8 mins… Regularly play sports like tennis, football and basketball. Used to swim a lot too.

@oxycontin I joined the a gym 2 months ago and I got a free session with a personal trainer to go along with it. The PT gave me a device to hold and it read my BMI as 17.6.

BMI is a weight to height ratio. Given that you said you were 5’11 and weighed 148, your BMI is 20.6.

5’11, 158. Obese, and morbidly so.

@oxycontin

BMI has nothing to do with how strong an individual is. A person can have a low BMI and have no athletic ability. To be a good runner you need a fair amount of muscle. I actually do not want a lower BMI.

dfree124 most likely used a device that took body fat into account.

In addition I personally dont believe girls with really low BMI/body fat percentages look all that great.

21 BMI is a little big to be running that fast, just sayin’. Muscle or fat, it’s just additional weight. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, but it’s highly unlikely.

I am 8 ounces heavy, 5 when I shave.

I have no fat–all juicy & sour muscle.

I can roll a 1-hour 100m downhill.

I’m 5’9 and 112 pounds, but I’ve got a little bit of huskiness going on, too. And I’m a dude. It’s weird.

… No idea what my BMI is, but it probably ain’t healthy.

I think my BMI is 19 and I’m almost underweight but I’ve always been skinny hopefully in college I gain the freshmen 15!
