<p>I just got notification today that I got National Merit Semifinalist status, and I'm super-excited, because I know how important it is when applying to college, and a couple thousand bucks in my pocket is never something to stick your nose up at. But how good does it actually look? Will it help my chances of getting a Singer/Stamps invite?</p>
<p>It definitely looks good on your application, but considering that UM is now #38, the competition for full ride will be very fierce…</p>
