I know they don't have economics but how good is their international relations and finance majors compared to all other colleges? Are they top 5, top 10 material? Finance is the most popular major at the school yet I don't hear much about it.

Who told you you Washington University doesn't offer Economics? I hope you did not come to that conclusion by looking at the concentrations offered at the B-School. Let it be known from now that Econ is not a sub-program of a Business school. At most Universities, Econ is a self-standing department, often older and more established than the Business school.

Washington University definitely has an Economics department...and a good one at that (top 50 nationally). You aren't going to find many weak departments at WUSTL.

As for their Business school, Olin, it is one of the top 20 but not quite one of the top 10 in the nation.

Olin survives on the overall reputation of WashU.

i agree. WashU is more recognized than Olin.
