After recovering for semester exams and experiencing the paranoia of future college applications, I've reverted to my regular mode of relentless studying, hunger for EC participation, and overall aversion of life in general.

How hard do you all normally work before/after college admission, do you think it was to your max?

I just want to see the diligence people exhibit.

I didn't try BEFORE midyear senior year, so I guess you can tell how much I study now...
Senioritis for me hit in in 10th grade. Generally I don't do homework at home unless it is a physics lab or some project. I think that is why my GPA is barely top 10%, while my SATs are definitely top 5 people.

Now I am slacking even more, so some grades have dropped. I hope I can bring them up to Bs at least, but I highly doubt I will start working harder as the year comes to an end.

The past three weeks of Art History class I have sat attentively behind my laptop. Granted, I'm either playing Rainbow Six, Minesweeper, Solitaire, or furiously trying to break my writer's block. Survived a test today because I've got a friend who actually did type his notes (though he was a little sparse last week because his dad was away and thus he had access to his Verizon nationwide wireless card and got reception in our basement classroom, that bastard).

I don't do homework at home unless it's a paper or a physics lab - AP Physics is the only class where I have to keep my brain on.

Funny thing is, my grades actually went up after I got my first acceptances. I improved in AP Studio (87 to 94), Physics (89 to 91), and Calc (94 to 96) And now I'm coasting and catching all the right breaks, so my grades aren't suffering at all despite my lack of motivation.

I live for the weekends out with my friends now.

The problem is that I have never studied in my entire life, not even for 10 minutes till the 11th
This year I have a bit and my grades have gone down :(

I don't work nearly hard enough. I don't know how to study, so I usually only spend 30 minutes or less preparing for tests. And no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to start my homework until after 10:00.

Seriously, I don't work nearly as hard as I should. Homework and me are sorta ehhh and I usually do them over my lunch break. Projects and stuff I will do at home though.

oh my goodness... i can feel myself starting to get lazy... and its horrible... but i just want second semester to be over i'm so freaking ready to GRADUATE....

Like someone above mentioned, I don't know how to study for tests. This is the first year (senior year) that I've had to try and study. I've managed straight a's throughout high school in the Full IB program, so I'd say I do study a lot, but not even close to as much as my other friends. I'm efficient. I really could try harder, but I just want to have balance.

This might kill most of you, but latest I've ever gone to sleep on a school night was 11 PM cuz of a group project for IB. I'm in bed by 10!

are you serious? i'm up until at least 1 am every night... not necessarily doing hw, mind you... just doing... whatever. (AKA myspace, lame tv, cheesy novels...)

i'd say i'm jealous.... but then i'd be lying because staying up late is my own decisions.... i'm coming to realize that i should probably get more than 5 hours a night though lol
