I know there have been threads about this before, but I'm looking for a more recent assessment. What do you guys think? Can a sophomore handle it?

I’m taking it as a sophomore right now and it defiantly isn’t my hardest class. It’s a lot of memorization but it is interesting and fun to learn about!

I think you can definitely handle it as a sophomore. I took it last year as a Junior and it was a lot of fun. You learn a lot of interesting facts and history, but if you want to do well in that class/ AP exam, you definitely can’t slack. It’s very important you make those note cards and go over it. Especially the images that your teacher don’t go over. The main and important ones are the easy one to spot. It’s the ones they briefly go over that was tested on the exam. Good luck !

Yes, a sophomore can handle it…
Ha, if you ask the state AP scholar that went to my school, he’d say Art History is the hardest AP he’s ever taken and I’d agree. A sheer workload of sometimes 120+ pages of the book in a week in the stretch of the longest 5 chapters plus flash cards, a study guide, and a longer than actual AP essay.

Thanks for your input, everyone!

@tangentline That sounds hard…I hope that the State AP Scholar thought it was the hardest because he had so many other tests to study for! XD
