How hard is it to change from undeclared to Computer Science?

I’m scared if i cant transfer into CS

I’m afraid it may be a little more difficult than anticipated. I have many friends that were accepted as undeclared and hoped to switch into CS, but are now pursuing different majors. You will have to maintain a decently high GPA and do well in your CS classes, and you won’t be able to declare your major for a while. Still, this shouldn’t scare you too much! It’s definitely possible if you work hard. :slight_smile:

Thank you tyranitarus - we had exactly the same questions!

I’m in the exact same situation. I’m afraid that if I go to UCSD, I may not be able to pursue CS.

@zenmommy no problem!
@HealTheCookies it will be difficult, but keep in mind that if you have the right mindset to pursue CS and get in, the program is top notch.

Do they only look at the GPA in CS courses?
According to the website, do I only need to take the 4 CS classes before transferring?
Thanks
