I just received my ACT Score from the last time I took it and it was on Sept. 13th. I studied for about 3-4 weeks and yet I got a freaking stupid composite score of 17!!!!!!!! Gosh! I'm so upset with my score. I mean c'mon now I study pretty hard for it just to raise the score up by 2 pts!!?? Grr..now I can't retake it again because I'm taking my SAT Subject Tests on November!! I'm going to turn this ACT Score for college apps!! oh my god..its horrible on transcript!
This is my second time taking the ACT, Last time I got a composite score of 15!!
I thought I did so much better like maybe a 19 or 20 because I scored a 20 on my practice ACT Test!! =,(

Is there still hope for me to get accepted to UC schools such as UC Irvine or UCSB??? =/

Have you taken/plan on taking the SAT? If you study enough for that and your score is better than the ACT, just submit your SAT scores instead of the ACT.
Also, you can retake your ACT--technically, I mean. I don't know if you mean you can't retake it in November because you'll be to busy studying to the SAT subject tests or if they're on the same date--they're on separate dates so you could certainly take both.
Don't forget, your standardized scores aren't everything--your ACT score isn't great but if your transcript and ECs are very solid, you definitely still have a chance.

Also, did you take your ACT on Sept. 13th? When/how did you get your scores? I took it then too but I haven't been notified about anything.

If your GPA and other things like EC's and essay make up for it, sure you got a shot at schools like UCI and UCSB.
And you can take the SAT in December, and send your scores in still, I think..
