How hard is it to transfer into Cornell after your freshman year?

So I'm planning to apply to Cornell's CoE ED, but I know how hard it is to get in...

If I end up going to a (respectable) safety after being rejected, and I reapply to Cornell, how hard is it exactly to get in, assuming that my gpa during my freshman year stays relatively high? Does the fact that I was rejected before affect my chances of getting in?

Shameless self bump.

http://dpb.cornell.edu/documents/1000156.pdf

It has an 11% transfer rate from fall 2011 stats, probably a bit lower now.

Make sure you complete the “Required coursework” for the program you want to transfer to, and have a GPA of 3.8+. And with a some good essays and a little bit of luck, you have a shot.

And no, being rejected before should not hurt you (or affect you at all really); this is coming from someone who was rejected by cornell freshman year, then again as a sophomore transfer, but accepted as a junior transfer.

Oh okay… thanks for the help.
